ATX Antlers as a Wedding Gift: 3 Couples Who Loved It
Share
When it comes to wedding gifts, everyone wants to give something that stands out — something beautiful, meaningful, and lasting. At ATX Antlers, I’ve had the joy of creating hand-painted antler pieces that became unforgettable wedding gifts for some amazing couples. Here are three stories of how intentional friends curated meaningful art pieces which became a deeply personal gift to celebrate love, new homes, and shared lives.
Emma & Jace – "The Modern Bohemians"
Gifted by: The bride’s college roommate
Piece: Custom Piece in blush and ivory colors
Emma and Jace got married in Marfa, Texas, surrounded by adobe walls, desert blooms, and a sky full of stars. Their style was modern-boho: all earth tones, natural textures, and laid-back elegance.
Emma’s college roommate, Loren, wanted to give them something that felt like them — not a toaster or a gift card. She reached out and together we created a custom version of “En Pointe,” blending ivory, blush, and soft sage to match their new home's color palette.
They ended up hanging it above their fireplace, and Emma told me later, “Every guest comments on it. It’s the one piece in the house that feels like us.”
Drew & Carolina – "The Chic Minimalists"
Gifted by: Carolina’s brother
Piece: Custom piece in black and gold
The couple are NYC-based architects who had a black-and-white wedding in a converted industrial loft. Their home style is sleek, curated, modern. Think steel, concrete, and white walls with bold art pieces.
Carolina’s was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country so her brother wanted to give them something bold, sculptural, and not on their registry. He chose “Gatsby” to be the inspiration, along with their apartment's color pallette. What resulted was a dramatic antler mount in matte black with gold accents. When he surprised them with it at their post-wedding brunch, two other attendees reached out to me to create their own custom pieces!
They now have it displayed in their entryway, and Drew even sent a photo of it with the caption: “This thing is cooler than half the art in our apartment.”
Molly & Trent – "The Outdoorsy Soulmates"
Gifted by: Their officiant (and close friend)
Piece: Custom pair of Les Petits in turquoise and copper
Molly and Trent had their ceremony in the woods outside of Austin, where they first met on a hiking trip. Their officiant, a mutual friend who introduced them, wanted to give them a paired set — something that reflected their shared love of nature.
We worked together on a set of Les Petits — each antler painted in earthy copper tones with hints of turquoise, inspired by southwest skies and red rock. One antler represented each person, and the symmetry felt symbolic.
“They’re now on either side of our bed,” Molly wrote. “They remind us of where we started — and the balance we bring to each other.”
